Swiss Travel, a pioneer in Costa Rica’s tourism industry, has long been committed to sustainability. We partnered with them in one of our first Costa Rican projects and we partnered with them in a project that provided a complete energy efficiency solution, combining solar PV and advanced air conditioning (A/C) systems. Both technologies were acquired as a package from the EPC, as an asset purchase, and were already installed. This initiative helped Swiss Travel enhance energy efficiency, achieve environmental goals, and reduce operational costs.

AC - Arenal Kioro

Nestled near Costa Rica’s iconic Arenal Volcano, Arenal Kiorosought to enhance energy efficiency by integrating modern A/C technology. This project was part of a broader initiative all financed by ecoligo, including solar PV and solar hot water systems, aimed at reducing energy costs and minimizing the hotel’s environmental footprint.

Why Are We Making Changes?

Over the past five years, ecoligo has grown significantly, refining our strategy to narrow our focus on solar PV projects—a field where we excel and see the greatest demand. Both Swiss Travel and Arenal Kioro have chosen to purchase the systems outright, a contractual option available to them. In the words of our Chief Operations Officer Roberto Martin, "This reflects their confidence with the solution provided by ecoligo and its benefits."

What This Means for Investors

First and foremost, we want to emphasize that this is a positive outcome for investors. Here’s why:

• Capital and Interest Repaid in Full: Investors will receive their full capital and accrued interest as per the terms of the agreement. There is no financial loss, and your expected returns up until January 31st have been met.
• Reinvestment Opportunities: With your capital returned, you can now explore reinvestment in other opportunities on our platform. Current projects on our platform offer competitive interest rates that reflect today’s market conditions, allowing you to maximize your returns.
• Other Swiss Travel and Arenal Kioro Projects are Unaffected: This purchase agreement only applies to specific loans on the platform. You may have been an investor in other Swiss Travel or Arenal Kioro projects that are still active and are not affected by this purchase. If you were affected by this purchase agreement you will be personally reached out to by our team.
