Our investors often include experts in the industry who know and appreciate the many ecological and financial advantages of solar energy particularly well. This is the case with Katharina D., managing director of K2 Systems, a manufacturer of mounting systems for solar plants. She tells us why she is on fire for the concept of ecoligo and what she particularly likes about projects in Vietnam.

“I am active in the photovoltaic industry myself through my job and first heard about ecoligo in an article in the trade journal PV Magazine. Later, a publication in the Stuttgarter Zeitung came along and I decided to take a closer look at the concept. I find it very exciting to observe what new ideas are developing in the photovoltaic market, and I was immediately taken with the model of crowdfunding for solar projects on an international and intercontinental level. It’s just fun to invest in these kinds of projects; it makes sense environmentally and socially.

Since I have been professionally involved with photovoltaic systems for a long time and know about the stability of the industry, I personally see the risk for investors as rather low. The technology is mature and has already been implemented many times, which makes photovoltaics one of the most important pillars on the path to global climate neutrality. And every project here makes an important contribution to achieving this goal.

Besides the positive environmental aspect, there is one thing in particular that excites me about ecoligo: the feeling of a community that wants to achieve something great together. We as ecoligo investors are united in the desire to achieve something positive with our investment.

I was also particularly pleased to have the opportunity to invest in projects in Vietnam since last year, an up-and-coming country with unbelievably likeable people that I am very enthusiastic about and where I have various personal contacts. The country is on the move and very dynamic, which is why the energy transition there is now picking up speed quickly.”
