Our crowdinvestors often cite a variety of different reasons that convinced them to invest in our solar projects. They range from fixed interest rates to contributing to the fight against climate change and supporting the local economy. This shows us that the motivations behind the investments are as diverse and varied as the investors themselves. In Maximilian B.-B.’s case, the focus is on supporting the economy in emerging and developing countries.

“I was specifically looking for financing opportunities for development and ecologically oriented projects when I came across ecoligo via Handelsblatt. It is important to me that I can use my money to support projects that directly and tangibly benefit people and thus support social as well as economic development in the respective countries. For these reasons, photovoltaic projects for educational institutions and farms in Ghana and Kenya are the most interesting for me. If the entire production is carried out in the country and the products remain on the local market, all the better. The idealistic value of these projects is priceless to me and is the greatest attraction for me.

Nevertheless, I am well aware that there are always certain risks involved in direct investments in projects. In return, the fact that ecoligo provides transparent information in advance about the plants and the companies supplied, checks them and also provides detailed updates during the course of the project, reassures me again. And the previous cooperation with major partner companies also creates additional trust. So for me, the desire to be able to actively do something good with my money and contribute to strengthening developing and emerging countries prevails.”
