Sustainable investors save 100,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions

When conscious investors look for sustainable investment opportunities, they often ask the same question: how much impact will my money really have? Today, our crowdinvestors have the answer; the clean energy projects that have been financed on the platform so far will save over 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions over the project lifetimes.

That’s as much CO₂ as over 21,000 cars driven for a year. It’s a small dent on the 37 billion tonnes of carbon that are released globally each year, but it’s an important sign of change and the impact we can have when we act collectively. Sustainable finance can have 27x more impact than other forms of sustainable behaviour; the growth in awareness and action in this field has a potential that we are only just starting to see.
