About us: Investments with impact

Founded in 2016 - Over 200 projects - More than €50 million invested

At ecoligo, we are committed to the realisation of sustainable solar energy projects. Our steadily growing portfolio comprises over 200 fully financed projects and more than 50 million euros in impact investments. ecoligo's investor community makes a measurable contribution to saving over 1.6 million tonnes of CO₂ over the entire project term. Together, we are shaping a sustainable energy future that paves the way for a greener world.

Our focus is on growth markets where we see great opportunities for a sustainable transformation of the energy sector. With our dedicated local employees and extensive partner network, network, we identify the best customers in our markets.
By investing with ecoligo, you not only create financial stability, but also make a positive and tangible change for the environment and society. Our investment opportunities are designed to be transparent and responsible. They go far beyond the purely financial aspect and create real CO₂ impact.
Our history

Our founders Martin and Markus recognised a gap in the market for solar projects in emerging markets. Small and midsize companies from the commercial and industrial customer segment often did not have access to finance for their solar projects, which could reduce their electricity cost significantly and at the same time reduce CO₂ emissions. At the same time, they realized that many investors were looking for sustainable investment opportunities with clear, measurable impact.
Our mission

At ecoligo, we are on an inspiring mission:
We are driving the energy transition in emerging countries by installing photovoltaic systems on rooftops of commercial and industrial buildings. Thanks to investors who make these projects possible via our impact investing platform, we can measurably reduce CO₂ emissions and offer you attractive returns at the same time.
Emerging markets - hotspots for renewable energies:
Emerging markets such as Kenya and Vietnam are experiencing rapid growth. This is increasing the energy needs of companies, which were previously covered by fossil fuels. Solar plants offer a double opportunity here: clean, renewable energy curbs climate change and growing companies benefit from lower electricity costs.
Our solution: Solar-as-a-Service and Impact Investment Platform

With our Solar-as-a-Service solution, we offer companies in countries such as Kenya, Vietnam and Chile affordable solar energy. Together with leading local EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) companies, we take over the planning, financing, commissioning and maintenance of these solar systems. As the owner of all solar systems, ecoligo ensures that they function optimally throughout their entire life cycle. We achieve this through 24/7 remote monitoring and dedicated teams in each country.

Investors can finance these projects via our impact investing platform. These investments offer fixed interest rates, lower volatility compared to the stock market and are independent of fluctuations in the interest-dependent property market. They optimally complement traditional property and equity portfolios.

In order to maximise the success of our projects, we implement thorough processes, including a KYC (Know Your Customer) process and comprehensive financial due diligence based on our clients' last three audited financial statements. We assess liquidity, profitability, rentability and solvency to ensure that we only work with customers who fulfil over 30 specific criteria. Around 90% of our potential customers pass this stage and are enthusiastically supported further.

Our revenue is generated by supplying electricity from our own solar systems to our customers. That is why it is in our, as much as in the investors, interest to operate the solar systems as economic as possible. Through our regular maintenance and our constant monitoring, we ensure longevity of the assets on a technical level.
Global team for local solutions

Since ecoligo was founded in Berlin in 2016, our team has grown steadily and now has employees in offices in Accra, Nairobi, San José, Santiago, Manila and Ho Chi Minh City.
Our approach relies on local labour that is familiar with local regulations, technical conditions and the needs of our clients. This not only creates diversity in our company, but also promotes local talent and offers them future-proof jobs in one of the fastest growing industries - renewable energy.

Our local teams acquire new customers directly or in collaboration with our local EPC partners. They manage project implementation and ensure smooth operations once the projects are up and running.

Through our commitment and collaboration with local experts, we offer customised solutions that meet the specific requirements and needs of each region. This approach has enabled us to build a strong presence in our target markets and successfully implement sustainable, clean energy projects, and we place great emphasis on the training and development of our employees to ensure that they always remain up to date with the latest technology and best practices in the industry.
